Feng shui is geen verzameling dogma's, die slaafs moeten worden gevolgd. Het zijn meer intu�tieve richtlijnen, die helpen bij het inrichten. Je moet jezelf omringen met dingen die een positieve energie uitstralen, die je gelukkig maken. Het constant zoeken naar evenwicht en streven naar harmonie. Dit alles volgens een volledig westerse manier en heel eigentijds!
Om de Feng Shui bij het styleren toe te passen, heb ik eerst traditionele Feng Shui gestudeerd te Londen. Wat is nu die 'Tradionele Feng Shui'?
Feng shui betekent “wind en water”. Letterlijk opgevat verwijst
dit naar de topografie van de aarde; haar bergen, valleien en waterwegen,
waarvan vorm en grootte, richting en niveau tot stand worden gebracht door
de niet aflatende wisselwerking tussen deze twee machtigste natuurkrachten.
Voor mensen van Chinese afkomst over de hele wereld is Feng shui een spiritueel
geheel, waarin oude wijsheid en culturele traditie een harmonieus geheel
vormen; een samenstel van kennis dat richtlijnen aangeeft voor uiteenlopende
situaties in het leven. Zo worden de Feng shui – voorschriften gebruikt
om gunstige bouwterreinen te kunnen onderscheiden van ongunstige. Ook geven
ze richtlijnen, hoe huizen zodanig te situeren en in te delen dat de kwaliteit
van de eigenaars er verrassend en opvallend door verbetert.
Een goede Feng Shui opstelling in de woning bevordert harmonieuze betrekkingen
tussen man en vrouw; kweekt een goede gezondheid; trekt overvloed en welslagen
aan en helpt bij het opbouwen van een goede reputatie.
In de Chinese cultuur, waar gezinsleven en eer zeer belangrijk zijn, veronderstelt
men dat goed feng shui echtgenoten helpt vele goede, liefhebbende kinderen
voort te brengen, die de familienaam tot eer zullen strekken. In zaken is
de inachtneming van feng shui – regels bij de keuze en vormgeving
van uw pand een goede manier om groeimogelijkheden te scheppen; u zakelijk
beter te profileren; uw status in de gemeenschap te verhogen; klanten aan
te trekken; winsten te vergroten en de omzet uit te breiden. Werknemers
zullen loyaal blijven en een alomtegenwoordige sfeer van welwillendheid
zal voor ongecompliceerde arbeidsverhoudingen zorgen. Slecht feng shui daarentegen
brengt ziekte en ongeluk. Slecht Feng shui zorgt voor gemiste kansen, in
het slop rakende carrières, vergooide rijkdom en teloorgaande reputaties.
Bovenal veroorzaakt slecht feng shui diepe droefenis en soms heeft het tragische
gevolgen voor het welzijn van het gezin .

The Ba Zi, or Eight Characters is otherwise known as Four Pillars Astrology
and is primarily concerned with the balance of the 5 Elements in an individual,
and how it changes with the influence of time. It is based on the Year,
Month, Day and Hour of an individual's birth and even takes into consideration
local climatic conditions. Analysis of the Ba Zi can reveal information
about a person's character and health, as well as their natural affinity
for money, marriage and career (including what type of career). Having determined
the balance of elements for an individual, it can be improved by consideration
of clothing colours, diet and Feng Shui. The material presented will provide
a strong foundation for studying Chinese astrology at a more advanced level,
and also provides knowledge which is essential for the study of Feng Shui,
